Fire Districts Information
The Town of Van Buren is served by the Lakeside, North West (Baldwinsville/Lysander), and Warners/Memphis Fire Districts. These districts operate independently from the town, are governed by their own Boards of Fire Commissioners, establish separate budgets, and have taxing authority. Below, you will find information regarding their meetings, public hearings, budgets, and elections.
North West Fire District
LEGAL NOTICE: NORTH WEST FIRE DISTRICT – ANNUAL ELECTION
Please take notice that the 2025 Annual Election of the Board of Fire Commissioners of the North West Fire District will take place on December 9, 2025, from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at North West Fire District Station #1 at 7911 Crego Road, Baldwinsville, New York.
The election will be held for one Commissioner for a five (5) year term to serve from January 1, 2026 to December 31, 2030.
The residents of the Fire District who wish to have their name placed on the Ballot to run for Fire Commissioner must indicate so in writing to the Secretary of the Board of Fire Commissioners, 122 Oswego Street, Baldwinsville, New York 13027, by November 19, 2025.
In order to vote in this election, residents of the Fire District must be registered to vote with the Onondaga County Board of Elections by November 17, 2025.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Annual Election of the Warners Memphis Fire District will take place on December 9, 2025 between the hours of 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm at the Warners Memphis Fire House located at 6444 Newport Rd., Warners, NY 13164, for the purpose of electing one Commissioner for a five (5) year term, commencing January 1, 2026 and ending December 31, 2031. All voters registered with the Onondaga County Board of Elections on or Before November 1, 2025.
Candidates for District Office shall have filed their names with the Secretary of the Warners Memphis Fire District, at the fire house at 6444 Newport Rd., Warners, NY 13164, no later than twenty days before the election, November 19, 2025.
