Dog Policy - Rules For Bringing Your Dog To The Park

Dogs are welcome in Van Buren Park but must be leashed and under their owner’s control at all times. This is mandated by the Town of Van Buren’s Leash Law and applies whether the park is full or empty. We appreciate the cooperation of all dog owners—please note that the Town’s Dog Control Officer may be contacted if necessary.

We also kindly ask that dog owners clean up after their pets and refrain from allowing them on the basketball or tennis courts. Thank you!

We certainly understand dog owners wanting to let their beloved pets run and play. If you haven’t already, consider visiting the Good Dog Park at Onondaga Lake Park. It’s located just inside the park entrance off Route 370, near the intersection with John Glenn Boulevard.
