TOWN of VAN BUREN ADVERTISEMENT – NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Sealed Bids for the following project will be received by the Town of Van Buren, 7575 Van Buren Road, Baldwinsville, New York 13027, until 10:00 a.m. local time on April 10, 2026, then there at said office, publicly opened and read aloud.
VAN BUREN PARK
PAVILION ELECTRIC INSTALLATION
in the
TOWN OF VAN BUREN
ONONDAGA COUNTY, NEW YORK
The project encompasses the installation of electric to park Pavilion AA including transformer. Copies of the Bid documents may be obtained at the OFFICE OF THE TOWN CLERK at no charge.
Bids must be submitted on the forms furnished and must not be detached from the Contract documents book. Bids must be accompanied by a deposit via certified check or bank cashier’s check, made payable to the Town of Van Buren, or a bid bond, in the amount of 5% of the total bid. Failure to submit a bid bond or certified check with the bid will result in automatic disqualification of the bid. Failure to submit a bid on the forms furnished by the Town or submittal of forms detached from the Contract Documents book will result in automatic disqualification of the bid. The 5% Bid Bond of the successful bidder will be retained as a Performance Bond until final payment is made.
Packages containing the Bids must be sealed, marked and addressed to the Town Clerk, Town of Van Buren, 7575 Van Buren Road, Baldwinsville, New York 13027 and marked with the words “Van Buren Pavilion Electric.”
The Owner reserves the right to revise or amend the Contract Documents prior to the date set for opening Bids. Such revisions and amendments, if any, will be announced by Addenda. Any inquiries regarding the details on the Contract Documents must be directed in writing to Town of Van Buren, 7575 Van Buren Road, Baldwinsville, New York 13027 [Telephone: (315) 635-3009/ Fax: (315) 635-8247], Attention: Buildings & Grounds Superintendent. The Town also reserved the right to reject all Bids received when it is determined to be in the best interest of the Town.
Pursuant to State law, the Town of Van Buren is exempt from payment of sales and compensating use taxes of the state of New York on all materials, equipment and supplies sold to the Town under this contract. Also exempt from such taxes are purchases by the contractor and his subcontractors on materials, equipment and supplies to be sold to the Town under this contract, including tangible personal property to be incorporated in any structure, building or real property forming part of the project. These taxes are not to be included in the Bid.
This contract is subject to compliance with Article 8 of the New York State Labor Law regarding prevailing wage rates.
