As we look toward the start of Summer soon, and try to put this rainy, wet, and damp Spring behind us, I would like to take this opportunity to update the residents on the progress of the Comprehensive Land Use Plan committee. We had our second meeting tonight and we had a lot of good feedback from committee members. We will soon be uploading a QR Code on the Town’s webpage for residents to take a survey outlining all things TOWN OF VAN BUREN; what you like, what you don’t like, what is missing and what should not change. The survey will be open thru the end of July, so please take time to complete the survey. Look for more details soon.
Also, we are soo thrilled to have finally launched our Town’s new website. We’re working very carefully with our website developer and we think the webpage speaks for itself. We are so happy with the final product!!
Lastly, for those who came out to the Memorial Day Parade, thank you! Thank you for honoring those men and women who served in the armed forces who are no longer with us. Memorial Day is all about those celebrating them. The Town Board had a great time with our patriotic float that was on the front page of The Messenger. Unfortunately, the rain did not hold off and the cemetery ceremony was cut short but it was still an honor to be in attendance to that very special ceremony.
Have a great day.
